- Drivers must weigh a minimum of 180 pounds, including race clothing and helmet. Drivers weighing less than 180 pounds must provide non-liquid ballast to meet the minimum weight requirement.
- Ballast may not consist of performance-related equipment, such as communication equipment or computers. Non-performance items, such as cameras or music systems, may be permitted as ballast provided they do not present a safety risk to the driver or other competitors.
- Ballast must be removable for weighing and must be securely attached to the vehicle in a manner capable of withstanding an impact or rollover. If a vehicle loses ballast during competition, it will be black-flagged and disqualified.
- Each driver is responsible for providing and securing the amount of ballast necessary to meet the minimum weight requirement.
