- Event stewards have the authority to disqualify or prohibit any driver from competing if they determine that the driver is unable to operate the vehicle safely.
- Drivers 16 years of age or older may compete without prior testing or approval if they present:
- A valid driver’s license; and
- Proof of current Electrathon America registration.
- Drivers 14 or 15 years of age may compete if they:
- Present proof of current Electrathon America registration;
- Meet the minimum age established for the event by the event steward; and
- Receive written approval from the event steward before competing.
- Written approval for drivers under 16 must confirm that the driver has been tested by the event steward or a designated representative and demonstrated the ability to safely operate the vehicle for at least 10 minutes on the same or similar track conditions.
- The event steward may require additional testing at their discretion.
- It is the driver’s responsibility to contact the event steward in advance of the event to arrange any required testing and approval.
- Driver approval may not be granted by a steward or designated representative who has a team or familial relationship with the driver.
- If an event has a minimum driver age of 16 or older, the minimum age must be clearly stated in the event advertising and registration materials.
