Competition is divided into two Divisions: High School (student-built/owned) and Open (individuals, colleges, or corporations). Within these, vehicles compete in three Classes: Standard (lead-acid), Solar (photovoltaic assisted), and Advanced Battery (alternative chemistries like Lithium-Ion).+3
