Post-Race Event

2 min read

A well-organized finish leaves participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters with a positive impression of the event and encourages them to return or help with future races. Complete the following steps promptly after the competition.

Tally the Results

Begin Cleanup

While results are being compiled, begin removing safety barriers, fencing, cones, signs, and other event equipment as conditions allow.

Awards Ceremony

If awards are being presented, hold the ceremony as soon as the results are available. Begin by recognizing the sponsors, venue hosts, volunteers, and others who made the event possible.

If lap money is being awarded, calculate the total number of laps completed by all eligible vehicles and announce the amount awarded per lap.

Photograph the teams, drivers, winners, sponsors, and other participants as appropriate.
