Each team shall choose a three-digit competition number when registering with Electrathon America. Available numbers range from 001 to 999.
Leading zeros are optional. For example, 007, 07, and 7 are considered the same competition number, and a vehicle assigned number 007 may display simply 7.
Competition numbers shall not be duplicated within a region, but the same number may be assigned to vehicles in different regions.
If vehicles from different regions with the same competition number compete at the same event, the Event Steward shall assign a temporary number to the visiting vehicle for that competition only.
All requests for vehicle competition numbers shall be submitted to Electrathon America as part of a new membership or membership renewal. Teams may request a specific number if it is available or may allow Electrathon America to assign a number. Members should provide three vehicle number choices on the membership form in order of preference.
A competition number remains assigned to a vehicle as long as the team’s Electrathon America membership remains active. If membership is not renewed, the number may be reassigned to another vehicle upon request.
Teams should request a competition number once construction of their vehicle begins and before the vehicle is completed.
Competition numbers have no performance or ranking significance. They are used solely to identify vehicles in competition.
Vehicles arriving at an event displaying a number that is already registered to another competitor may be required to change their displayed number before competing.
