A video camera shall be positioned at the Start/Finish Line to record the entire competition. The recording shall be used to resolve any protest involving lap counts.
The camera should have a wide-angle lens and be positioned far enough from the track to provide a clear field of view, while remaining close enough to reliably identify all vehicle numbers. The camera may be elevated above the track to provide the best viewing angle.
Recording shall begin before the green flag is displayed and continue until two minutes after the checkered flag is displayed. The date and time should be displayed continuously on the recording, if possible.
