A Sanctioned Race is an event officially recognized by Electrathon America and conducted according to the Electrathon America Rulebook. Sanctioned races provide competitors with a consistent standard for safety and competition and allow race results to become part of the official Electrathon America competition record.
Electrathon America promotes sanctioned races through its website, communications, and other outreach. Results from sanctioned races are used for official rankings and may qualify teams for invitation to regional and national championship events.
Requirements for Sanctioning #
An Electrathon race may be sanctioned by Electrathon America when the host or promoter:
- agrees to follow the Electrathon America Rulebook,
- submits a sanctioning form that is accepted by Electrathon America,
- and secures required event liability insurance.
